The Book Of Yoro
In Yoro, Honduras, a strange phenomenon has become part of local belief: fish fall from the sky. For generations, the Rain of Fish has been seen as a miracle by the community, but with Heaven Fish, it also became the origin of a new sustainable economy.
To preserve and share the story behind this wonder, we created The Book of Yoro: a sacred-looking editorial piece that documents the miracle, its cultural meaning, and the recipes created around Heaven Fish. More than a recipe book, it was designed as a cultural artifact. Its pages combine the mythical origin of the phenomenon with culinary applications, transforming the fallen fish into a premium ingredient with a story worthy of its own holy book.
The design was built with sustainable materials sourced from Yoro, including recycled banana leaves and handcrafted details made by local artisans. Every element — from the blue palette and fish symbol to the binding and minimal illustrations — was created to feel ceremonial, pure and deeply connected to the community. Distributed through Heaven Fish’s alliances across Honduras and beyond, The Book of Yoro helped turn a local legend into a branded experience, preserving the miracle while inviting more people to taste it.
