Employees rarely get uninterrupted breaks at work, yet meetings are one of the few moments when interruptions stop. KitKat used this insight to turn a meeting into the break itself. A real Microsoft Teams call was created and kept live 24/7. Anyone could join at any time. Once inside, participants appeared as being in a meeting and their calendar was blocked, protecting them from messages and calls. The meeting was designed to feel real. A screen was always shared. Slides and charts moved slowly and continuously. There was no participation required. The creative challenge was to make the experience believable enough to function as cover, while calm enough to feel like a break. By creating a live, shared experience inside the workplace, KitKat delivered an entertaining brand moment that people could actively step into, rather than passively consume.
